Biography
Sally Kirkland was an American actress and producer. Born in New York City on 31 October 1941, she began her career in the 1960s New York avant-garde theatre scene and was associated with Andy Warhol's Factory. She appeared in more than 250 film and television productions over six decades.
Kirkland received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress and won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for her performance in Anna (1987). She was also known for supporting roles in The Sting (1973), JFK (1991) and as Anita in Bruce Almighty (2003). She died on 11 November 2025, aged 84.
