Biography
Samson Kayo is a British actor, comedian, producer and writer. Born on 20 June 1991 in Peckham, London, he is of Nigerian descent and began his career after an open audition led to a role in the Channel 4 comedy series Youngers (2013). He is a childhood friend of actor John Boyega.
Kayo gained recognition for his work on the BBC sketch show Famalam (2017–2020), for which he received a British Academy Television Award nomination for Best Male Comedy Performance in 2018. He created, wrote and starred in the sitcoms Sliced (2019–2021) and Bloods (2021–2022); the latter earned him a further BAFTA nomination in 2022 and a Royal Television Society Programme Award for Best Male Comedy Performance in 2022.
His other credits include Timewasters (2017), Dolittle (2020), Our Flag Means Death (2022–2023), Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022) as the voice of Baby Bear, and the role of Cash in F1 (2025).
