Biography
Sandra Bernhard is an American actress, comedian and singer. Born on 6 June 1955 in Flint, Michigan, she began performing stand-up comedy in the late 1970s at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles and appeared on The Richard Pryor Show in 1977.
She made her feature film debut as Masha in Martin Scorsese's The King of Comedy (1982), for which she won the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress. She is also known for playing Nancy Bartlett on the sitcom Roseanne (1991–1997) and for roles in Pose and Severance.
