Biography
Scott A. Williams is an American television writer and producer. A native of Yonkers, New York, he earned a BA in English from SUNY Cortland in 1983. He began his writing career with unproduced screenplays before moving into television.
Williams wrote for Brooklyn South (1997) and contributed a teleplay to NYPD Blue (1998). His credits include episodes of Third Watch (1999), Crossing Jordan (2001), Without a Trace (2002), Bones (2005; co-executive producer and writer 2006–2009), Castle (2009) and NCIS (2003; writer and executive producer from 2011). He also wrote the screenplay for the film The Unsaid (2001).
He co-founded the non-profit Shane's Inspiration, which builds inclusive playgrounds, and received an Edgar Award nomination for his work on Brooklyn South.
