Biography
Seth Gilliam is an American actor. He graduated with a BFA in acting from the State University of New York at Purchase in 1990.
Gilliam is known for his television roles as Ellis Carver in The Wire (2002–2008), Father Gabriel Stokes in The Walking Dead (2014–2022), Dr. Alan Deaton in Teen Wolf (2011–2017), and Clayton Hughes in Oz (1997–2003). His film credits include Sergeant Steven Altameyer in Courage Under Fire (1996) and Private Sugar Watkins in Starship Troopers (1997). He has also appeared in Still Alice (2014) and had recurring roles in series including The Cosby Show.
