Biography
Shane Valentino is an American production designer. He was born and raised in Los Angeles and holds an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute’s Experimental Film Program, where he studied with filmmakers including Chick Strand, Ernie Gehr, George Kuchar and Martin Arnold. He began his career in art direction on feature films such as Batman Begins (2005) and Somewhere (2010).
Valentino’s production design credits include Beginners (2011), The Normal Heart (2014), Straight Outta Compton (2015), Nocturnal Animals (2016), The Kitchen (2019), The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020), The Good Nurse (2022) and Fly Me to the Moon (2024). He received a BAFTA nomination for best production design for Nocturnal Animals. He has also designed commercials and co-founded LAMB Design Studio.
