Biography
Sheridan Smith is an English actress and singer. She was born on 25 June 1981 in Epworth, North Lincolnshire.
Smith came to prominence in television comedy series including Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Gavin & Stacey (as Ruth 'Rudi' Smith) and Benidorm. She has also appeared in dramas such as Mrs Biggs and Cilla.
On stage she has performed in West End musicals including Into the Woods, Little Shop of Horrors and Legally Blonde. She won two Laurence Olivier Awards and was appointed OBE in the 2015 New Year Honours for services to drama.
