Biography
Sherm Cohen is an American storyboard artist, director and writer. He trained at the Joe Kubert School of Graphic Design and began working in animation in 1989. His early credits include character layout on The Ren & Stimpy Show and storyboard work and directing on Hey Arnold! (1996).
In 1998 he joined the original crew of SpongeBob SquarePants (1999), serving as storyboard artist, writer and director on the first season before becoming storyboard supervisor and later supervising director. He has also worked as a writer and storyboard artist on Phineas and Ferb (2007) and as director on series including Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil (2010), Fish Hooks (2010) and Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years (2021).
