Biography
Shigeru Nishiyama (西山 茂) is a Japanese film and television editor. Born on 16 April 1956 in Iwaki, Fukushima, he began his career at the editing company Tavac, where he worked primarily on Toei Animation productions. In March 2006 he left to establish the editing studio Real-T, of which he is president and CEO.
Nishiyama has edited numerous anime films and series, including several directed by Mamoru Hosoda such as The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006), Summer Wars (2009), Wolf Children (2012), The Boy and the Beast (2015), Mirai (2018) and Belle (2021). His other credits include Sword Art Online (2012), ERASED (2016) and the Mononoke film series.
