Biography

Sidney Kimmel is an American film producer. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he founded the apparel company Jones New York and later established Sidney Kimmel Entertainment in 2004 as a Los Angeles-based production and finance company.

Through the company he has produced or executive produced numerous films, including The Kite Runner (2007), Synecdoche, New York (2008), The Place Beyond the Pines (2013), Hell or High Water (2016) and Crazy Rich Asians (2018). He is also a philanthropist.
