Biography
Simone Ashley, born Simone Ashwini Pillai on 30 March 1995 in Camberley, Surrey, England, is a British actress. She trained at Arts Educational Schools and began her career with small roles in British television series including Wolfblood (2012) and Broadchurch (2013).
Ashley is known for her recurring role as Olivia Hanan in the Netflix series Sex Education (2019–2021) and as Kathani 'Kate' Sharma, later Lady Bridgerton, in Bridgerton (2020–present). She received the Golden Nymph Award for Most Promising Talent at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival in 2024.
Her film credits include Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2019), The Little Mermaid (2023) as Indira, and The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026) as Amari. She has also appeared in F1 (2025) and voiced a role in 10 Lives (2024).
