Biography
Steffan Rhodri is a Welsh actor. Born in 1967 in Morriston, Swansea, he grew up there and began his career in Welsh-language television before moving into English-language film and television.
He is best known for portraying bus driver Dave Coaches in the BBC comedy series Gavin & Stacey (2007–2024). Other screen credits include Reginald Cattermole in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010), Mr Davey in Submarine (2010), Colonel Darnell in Wonder Woman (2017), and Lord Hobert Hightower in House of the Dragon (2022). On stage he played Banquo in a production of Macbeth alongside Ralph Fiennes.
Rhodri has appeared in both English- and Welsh-language productions and is the cousin of novelist Mark Ellis.
