Biography
Stephen A. Rotter is a film editor. He won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for The Right Stuff (1983), shared with Glenn Farr, Lisa Fruchtman, Tom Rolf and Douglas Stewart. He also shared an Emmy Award for the miniseries Holocaust (1978).
Rotter has edited more than thirty films. His credits include Night Moves (1975), The Missouri Breaks (1976), The World According to Garp (1982), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988), The Parent Trap (1998), What Women Want (2000), America's Sweethearts (2001), Enchanted (2007) and A Little Bit of Heaven (2011). He began his career as an assistant editor in the late 1960s and has been active since 1969.
