Biography
Stephen Pearlman (also credited as Steve Pearlman) was an American actor. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on 26 February 1935 and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, he graduated from Dartmouth College in 1954 and began his career in theatre, making his New York stage debut in the 1959 production of The Threepenny Opera. He appeared in several Broadway productions, including a leading role as Zampano in the 1969 musical La Strada.
Pearlman worked extensively in film and television. His film credits include Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995) as Dr Fred Schiller, Quiz Show (1994) as Judge Schweitzer, Green Card (1990) as Mr Adler, and Pi (1998) as Rabbi Cohen. On television he appeared in episodes of Seinfeld, Law & Order and other series. He was married to Stefanie Solow Glennon. Pearlman died of cancer in Manhattan on 30 September 1998.
