Biography

Steve Bendelack is an English television and film director who has worked primarily on comedy programmes.

He began as an assistant to Peter Fluck and Roger Law on Spitting Image and later directed episodes of the show. His other television credits include The Mary Whitehouse Experience, series 2 of The Royle Family (1999), The League of Gentlemen, the first series of Little Britain, the pilot of The Mighty Boosh (2003), and the first series of Friday Night Dinner (2011). Bendelack has directed the feature films The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse (2005), Mr. Bean's Holiday (2007) and The Harry Hill Movie (2013). He won a BAFTA for directing The League of Gentlemen.
