Biography
Steven Sprung is a film and television editor and occasional director. He edited nine episodes of the first two seasons of the comedy series Arrested Development (2003–2004) and has worked on numerous other television shows, including Community (2009–2011), Entourage, Scorpion (2014) and Santa Clarita Diet (2017). His feature credits include editing Star Trek Beyond (2016), Easter Sunday (2022) and The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (2021).
Sprung has directed episodes of Community (2011) and Happy Endings (2012–2013). He wrote, directed and edited the independent feature Dispatch (2011). He is a member of the American Cinema Editors and has received Emmy and Eddie Award nominations for his editing work, including on Arrested Development.
He studied at Syracuse University, where he received an early Eddie Award nomination for editing while still an undergraduate.
