Biography
Stuart Margolin (31 January 1940 – 12 December 2022) was an American actor, director and screenwriter. Born in Davenport, Iowa, he appeared in numerous films and television series from the 1960s onwards.
He played Evelyn 'Angel' Martin in the television series The Rockford Files (1974–1980), a role for which he won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Other film credits include Kelly's Heroes (1970), Death Wish (1974), Days of Heaven (1978) as the Mill Foreman, and Arbitrage (2012). He also directed episodes of series including The Rockford Files and received Emmy nominations for directing.
Margolin was married to Patricia Dunne Martini from 1982. He had three stepchildren, including actor Max Martini.
