Biography

Suzy Elmiger is an American film and television editor. She began working as an assistant editor in the 1970s on documentary series including CBS Reports, later moving into features as an assistant on titles such as Crossing Delancey (1988) and Honeymoon in Vegas (1992).

She served as second editor on Robert Altman's Short Cuts (1993) and edited Alan Rudolph's Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle (1994). Elmiger has edited three films for Stanley Tucci, beginning with his debut Big Night (1996), as well as further collaborations with Rudolph. Her television work includes episodes of Master of None (2015) and Succession (2018). She is a member of the American Cinema Editors, a longtime advisor at the Sundance Directors Lab, and a guest lecturer at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. A native of White Plains, New York, she studied comparative literature at Hamilton College.
