Biography
Terence Chang Chia-Chen is a Hong Kong and American film producer. Born in Hong Kong in 1949, he studied architecture at the University of Oregon in 1968 and film at New York University in 1974. He returned to Hong Kong in 1977 and joined Golden Harvest, where he worked as an assistant producer on Itchy Fingers (1979) and met director John Woo.
Chang became a key collaborator with Woo. He served as the primary production executive on The Killer (1989) and produced Once a Thief (1991) and Hard Boiled (1992) through Milestone Pictures, which he co-founded with Woo and Linda Kuk. He later produced several of Woo's Hollywood films, including Broken Arrow (1996), Face/Off (1997), Windtalkers (2002), Paycheck (2003) and Mission: Impossible II (2000) as executive producer. Chang has also produced Red Cliff (2008) and worked with other directors on projects such as Papillon (2017).
