Biography

Thimios Bakatakis is a Greek cinematographer. He studied at the Hellenic Cinema and Television School Stavrakos in Athens.

Bakatakis has frequently collaborated with director Yorgos Lanthimos. Their joint credits include Kinetta (2005), Dogtooth (2009), The Lobster (2015) and The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017). He has also served as director of photography on Attenberg (2010), Blind (2014), Una (2016) and The Lodge (2019).

Bakatakis received a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Cinematography for The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
