Biography
Colin James Farrell is an Irish actor. He was born on 31 May 1976 in Castleknock, Dublin, Ireland. He began acting in the BBC drama series Ballykissangel (1998) and made his film debut in the drama The War Zone (1999). His first lead film role came in the war drama Tigerland (2000).
Farrell achieved a breakthrough with his role as Danny Witwer in Steven Spielberg's Minority Report (2002). He has since appeared in films including Daredevil (2003), In Bruges (2008), Horrible Bosses (2011), Total Recall (2012), The Lobster (2015), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), Dumbo (2019), The Gentlemen (2020) and The Batman (2022). He has received three Golden Globe Awards and an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
