Biography
Thom Noble is a British film editor. Born and raised in London, he was educated at Westminster School. He began his career in book publishing before moving to the story department at Pinewood Studios, where he worked as an assistant editor. His first solo credit was on François Truffaut's Fahrenheit 451 (1966).
Noble won an Academy Award and an ACE Eddie Award for editing Witness (1985). He received Academy Award and BAFTA nominations for Thelma & Louise (1991). Other credits include The Hudsucker Proxy (1994), in which he also appeared as an actor, The Mask of Zorro (1998), Flightplan (2005), The Time Traveler's Wife (2009) and RED (2010). He has frequently collaborated with directors including Ted Kotcheff, Peter Weir and Martin Campbell. In 2018 he served on the jury of the Mumbai International Film Festival.
