Biography
Tim Herlihy is an American screenwriter, producer, actor and playwright. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he graduated from New York University with degrees in accounting and international business, followed by a JD from NYU School of Law. He began his career as a lawyer before joining Saturday Night Live as a writer in 1994, later becoming head writer and producer.
Herlihy has frequently collaborated with Adam Sandler. He wrote or co-wrote the screenplays for Billy Madison (1995), Happy Gilmore (1996), The Wedding Singer (1998), The Waterboy (1998), Big Daddy (1999), Mr. Deeds (2002), Bedtime Stories (2008), Grown Ups 2 (2013) and Pixels (2015). He also wrote the book for the Broadway musical adaptation of The Wedding Singer.
