Biography
Tom Kenny is an American actor and comedian, best known for his voice work. He has voiced the title character SpongeBob SquarePants, as well as Gary the Snail and the French Narrator, on the Nickelodeon series SpongeBob SquarePants since its debut in 1999. He also voices Ice King on the Cartoon Network series Adventure Time (2010–2018) and its spin-offs.
Kenny began his career in stand-up comedy before appearing in sketch shows including The Edge (1992–1993) and Mr. Show with Bob and David (1995–1998). His other notable voice roles include Heffer Wolfe on Rocko's Modern Life (1993–1996) and the Narrator and Mayor on The Powerpuff Girls. He voiced Mussolini, the Right Hand Man and the Sea Captain in the 2022 film Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio. Kenny has received two Daytime Emmy Awards and two Annie Awards for his voice performances. He is married to actress and voice artist Jill Talley.
