Biography
Tom McGuire (also credited as Thomas Maguire or Thomas McGuire) was an English stage and film actor. He appeared in more than 170 films between 1919 and 1949.
Born in Lancashire, England, on 1 September 1873, he died in Hollywood, California, on 6 May 1954. Among his credited roles were John King in Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928) and Matey in City Girl (1930). He played numerous uncredited parts, including the Los Angeles Promoter in The Champ (1931), a detective on the phone in Little Caesar (1931), the driver in The Petrified Forest (1936) and a town councilman in Hail the Conquering Hero (1944).
