Biography

Tom Sternberg is an American film producer. He began his career in the late 1960s as associate producer on the television series The Joan Rivers Show and worked extensively with Francis Ford Coppola's American Zoetrope.

His credits include co-producer on Apocalypse Now (1979), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture, and producer on The Black Stallion (1979), The Black Stallion Returns (1983), Dim Sum: A Little Bit of Heart (1985), Eat a Bowl of Tea (1989), Lost Highway (1997), The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), Under the Tuscan Sun (2003), Sleuth (2007) and The Two Faces of January (2014). He has also acted as a producer's representative for the North American distribution of numerous foreign-language films.
