Biography
Tommy Hollis (22 March 1954 – 9 September 2001) was an American actor who worked in film, television and stage. A native of Jacksonville, Texas, he attended Lon Morris Junior College and the University of Houston, and began his career in the Houston theatre scene.
His film appearances included the Mayor's Aide in Ghostbusters (1984) and Earl Little in Spike Lee's Malcolm X (1992). He also appeared in Moonstruck (1987), Léon: The Professional (1994), Joe's Apartment (1996) and Primary Colors (1998). On Broadway he originated roles in The Piano Lesson (1990–1991), for which he received a Theatre World Award, and Ragtime (1998). His television credits included episodes of Law & Order and Homicide: Life on the Street.
