Biography
Tony Curran is a Scottish actor. Born on 13 December 1969 in Glasgow, he trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and is a graduate of Holyrood Secondary School.
He first gained recognition for his role in the BBC series This Life (1996–1997). Subsequent film credits include Gladiator (2000), Pearl Harbor (2001), Blade II (2002), The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003), and The Good German (2006). He has also appeared in X-Men: First Class (2011), Thor: The Dark World (2013), and the Doctor Who episode "Vincent and the Doctor" (2010).
Curran won the BAFTA Scotland Award and British Independent Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in Red Road (2006). He is married to Mai Nguyen.
