Biography
Tony Jordan (born 21 July 1957) is a British television writer. He began his career as a market trader and started writing at the age of 32. He joined the BBC soap opera EastEnders in 1989 after submitting a spec script and went on to write more than 250 episodes, serving for many years as lead writer and series consultant.
Jordan co-created the time-travel police drama Life on Mars (2006) with Matthew Graham and Ashley Pharoah. He created the con-artist series Hustle (2004) and other programmes including Holby Blue (2007), Dickensian (2015) and Beyond Paradise (2023). In 2006 he founded the production company Red Planet Pictures.
