Biography
Tony Virgo (born 29 September 1948) is a British television director and producer. He began his career at the BBC as a production assistant on series including Survivors and Blake's 7, before completing the corporation's internal directors' course.
His first BBC directorial assignment was the 1983 Doctor Who serial The King's Demons. Virgo went on to direct episodes of EastEnders, Emmerdale Farm, All Creatures Great and Small and other series during the 1980s. He later worked extensively as a producer on EastEnders, The Bill and Peak Practice.
