Biography
Tristan Sturrock is a British actor born in 1967 in Upton Cross, Cornwall. He joined the Cornish theatre company Kneehigh in 1986 and has performed with the company for over 30 years in productions including Brief Encounter on Broadway and Tristan and Yseult at the National Theatre.
On television, Sturrock is known for playing the recurring role of mining captain Zacky Martin in all five series of Poldark (2015–2019). His other credits include appearances in Doc Martin, Endeavour, The Crown, Death in Paradise and Midsomer Murders, as well as the films Saving Grace (2000) and Christopher Robin (2018). He is married to actress and director Katy Carmichael.
