Biography
Virginia Christine (1920–1996) was an American character actress. Born Virginia Christine Ricketts in Stanton, Iowa, she attended the University of California, Los Angeles and began her career in radio before moving into film and television.
She appeared in films including High Noon (1952), Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), Judgment at Nuremberg (1961) and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967). On television she played Ethel Bedeker in the 1959 Twilight Zone episode 'Escape Clause', and guest roles in series such as Bonanza and Kojak. She is best known for portraying Mrs. Olson in a long-running series of Folgers Coffee television commercials from the 1960s into the 1980s.
She was married to actor Fritz Feld from 1940 until his death in 1993.
