Biography

Wayne Che Yip is a British television director. Born in Oxford in 1981, he graduated with a degree in graphic design from Banbury College in 2004.

He began directing short films and music videos before working on British series including Misfits (2009–2013), Secret Diary of a Call Girl (2011) and Utopia (2013). His later credits include episodes of Doctor Who (2017–2019), Preacher (2016–2018), Happy! (2017–2019), The Wheel of Time (2021), The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022) and the Fallout (2024) episode 'The Beginning'. He also served as co-executive producer on The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
