Biography
Wendy Stites is an Australian costume designer and production designer. She has worked extensively with director Peter Weir, her husband since 1966, on films including Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975), Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003) and The Way Back (2010).
For Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World she received a BAFTA Award for Best Costume Design and an Academy Award nomination in the same category. Stites has also served as production designer on Dead Poets Society (1989) and Green Card (1990). She was born in 1949.
