Biography
William Bogert (25 January 1936 – 12 January 2020) was an American character actor. Born in New York City, he appeared in numerous film and television roles from the 1950s until his death.
He is known for playing Brandon Brindle in the television series Small Wonder (1985–1989) and Kent Wallace, the host of the Frontline sketches, in Chappelle's Show (2003–2004). Film credits include Mr. Lightman in WarGames (1983), a TV anchorman in Dog Day Afternoon (1975), and Harrington in A Perfect Murder (1998). He also appeared in guest roles on series including Law & Order, Gilmore Girls, The Wonder Years, MASH and Columbo*.
Bogert performed in stage productions such as the touring A Man for All Seasons (1964). He featured in the 1964 political advertisement "Confessions of a Republican" and reprised a version of it in 2016. He was married to puppeteer Eren Ozker until her death in 1993.
