Biography
William N. Panzer was an American film and television producer. Born in New York City, he attended Princeton University and New York University Film School, where he produced the 1968 documentary Mexican Anticipation. He later worked in television commercials before moving to Los Angeles in 1976.
With Peter Davis he founded Davis-Panzer Productions, which produced more than twenty films including The Osterman Weekend (1983). Panzer produced the Highlander franchise, beginning with the 1986 film, and contributed to the story for three of the movies. He served as executive producer on Highlander: The Series (1992–1998) and its spin-offs.
Panzer died on 18 March 2007 in Idaho. Several later Highlander projects, including Highlander: The Source (2007), were dedicated to him.
