Biography
William Sterchi is an American actor, also credited as Bill Sterchi. Born and raised in New Mexico, he began acting at the age of eight in a local library production of a play about Mozart. He attended the University of New Mexico on a theatre scholarship and later studied film acting in Los Angeles with Charles Conrad, a teaching assistant to Sanford Meisner.
Sterchi is known for roles including the Manager in Breaking Bad (2008), Mr. Clauson in Hell or High Water (2016), Pat in Crazy Heart (2009), and Bob's Editor in The Men Who Stare at Goats (2009). Other film credits include Gold (2016), The Space Between Us (2017), Observe and Report (2009), Employee of the Month (2006) and Rattlesnake (2019). He has also appeared in Outer Range (2022–2024) and Eddington (2025).
A successful stage actor, Sterchi has appeared in over 45 productions in New Mexico. He is an award-winning performer who has worked alongside multiple Oscar and Emmy winners.
