Biography
Willie Fung, also credited as Willy Fung, was a Chinese-American character actor. Born in Canton, China, he performed on the stage in San Francisco before entering films with a debut in Hurricane's Gal (1922).
He appeared in more than 125 Hollywood films from 1922 to 1944, most often in uncredited or minor supporting roles as servants, cooks and labourers. Credited parts included Chung Hi in The Letter (1940), as well as roles in Shanghai Express (1932), Lost Horizon (1937) and Ruggles of Red Gap (1935). He also operated the New Moon Café restaurant in East Hollywood.
