Biography
Aaron Eckhart is an American actor. Born on 12 March 1968 in Cupertino, California, he moved with his family to the United Kingdom at an early age and spent time in Australia during his teenage years. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film.
While an undergraduate, Eckhart met director and writer Neil LaBute, who cast him in several plays and subsequent films including In the Company of Men (1997), Your Friends & Neighbors (1998), Nurse Betty (2000) and Possession (2002). He gained wide recognition for his role as George in Erin Brockovich (2000). Other notable performances include Nick Naylor in Thank You for Smoking (2005), for which he received a Golden Globe nomination, and Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight (2008).
