Biography
Adam Gerstel is an American film editor. He was born on 20 July 1983 in Los Angeles, California.
He began his career in visual effects editing and digital artistry on films including The Aviator (2004), The Departed (2006) and Shutter Island (2010). He later worked as a visual effects editor on Real Steel (2011) and as previs editor on Star Trek Into Darkness (2013).
Gerstel has edited or co-edited several major productions, including Transformers: The Last Knight (2017), The Lion King (2019), Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) and Lilo & Stitch (2025). He edited two episodes of the second season of The Mandalorian (2020), for which he received an Emmy nomination.
