Biography
Adam Greenberg, ASC (also credited as אדם גרינברג) was an Israeli-American cinematographer. Born in Kraków, Poland, he was raised in Tel Aviv and began his career as a film lab technician and newsreel cameraman in Israel before moving into feature work.
He shot numerous Israeli productions in the 1960s and 1970s, several of which received Academy Award nominations for Best Foreign Language Film. Greenberg emigrated to the United States in the early 1980s and became a prolific Hollywood director of photography. His credits include The Terminator (1984), Ghost (1990), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) — for which he received an Academy Award nomination — Sister Act (1992), Eraser (1996), Rush Hour (1998) and Snakes on a Plane (2006). He was a member of the American Society of Cinematographers from 1990.
