Biography

Al Sapienza is an American actor. Born in New York City on 31 July 1962, he began his career on stage after graduating from New York University, appearing as Ringo Starr in the Broadway musical Beatlemania in 1977. He later studied with acting teacher Milton Katselas in Los Angeles and was a founding member of the Alliance Repertory Company in Burbank.

Sapienza is best known for his recurring role as Mikey Palmice in the HBO series The Sopranos (1999–2004). He has appeared in numerous television series, including as Detective Raymond Terney in Person of Interest (2011–2015), Philly Falzone in Prison Break (2005), and Marty Spinella in House of Cards (2013). His film credits include Pretty Woman (1990), The Big Short (2015), Godzilla (2014) and Taken 3 (2014).
