Alain Depardieu is a French producer and production manager. He was born on 29 September 1945 in Châteauroux, Indre, France, and is the brother of actor Gérard Depardieu.

He entered the film industry after visiting his brother's sets and worked early on as a unit manager, including on The Tenant (1976). Depardieu has produced or served as executive producer on films including The Piano (1993), Underground (1995), Through the Olive Trees (1994) and Taste of Cherry (1997). He has also collaborated with director Claude Berri.
