Biography
Alex Chapple is a Canadian television director and writer. He began his career directing episodes of Canadian series in the mid-1990s.
Chapple has directed numerous episodes of American procedural dramas, including one episode of The Americans (2013), several of Law & Order (from 2009), and over thirty of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2011–2019). Other credits include multiple episodes of FBI (2019–2026), Blue Bloods (2011–2021), Chicago Fire (2013–2016) and Elementary (2015–2017). He also directed the television films Torso: The Evelyn Dick Story (2002) and Diverted (2009).
He has been married to producer Mala Chapple since 1998.
