Biography
Alex Désert is an American actor. Born on 18 July 1968 in New York City, he trained at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music, Art, and Performing Arts before moving to Los Angeles.
His television roles include Julio Mendez in The Flash (1990–1991), Eli Williams in Boy Meets World (1995–1996), Jake Malinak in Becker (1998–2004), and, since 2020, the voices of Carl Carlson and Lou in The Simpsons. Film appearances include Charles in Swingers (1996), Mullaney in PCU (1994) and Louis in High Fidelity (2000).
Désert is also a lead singer and founding member of the Los Angeles ska band Hepcat.
