Biography

Alice Brooks is an American cinematographer. She is best known for her work as director of photography on the film adaptations Wicked (2024) and Wicked: For Good (2025), both directed by Jon M. Chu, as well as In the Heights (2021) and tick, tick... BOOM! (2021).

Brooks graduated magna cum laude from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2001. She has collaborated frequently with Chu on projects including Jem and the Holograms (2015) and the series Home Before Dark (2020). She is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.

Brooks grew up in Los Angeles and New York. As a child she appeared in national television commercials and a recurring skit on Late Night with David Letterman. She has been married to Samuel Spencer since 2012.
