Biography
Amanda Brugel is a Canadian actress. She was born on 24 March 1978 in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, and studied at York University. She began her career with a role in the 1999 film Vendetta and has appeared in numerous films and television series since.
Her credits include Jason X (2001), Room (2015), Suicide Squad (2016), Maps to the Stars (2014), Orphan Black (2015) as Marci Coates, Kim's Convenience (2016–2021) as Nina Gomez, The Handmaid's Tale (2017–2025) as Rita Blue, and Infinity Pool (2023) as Jennifer. She has also served as a judge on Canada's Drag Race.
Brugel received an ACTRA Award for her performance in Sex After Kids (2013) and Canadian Screen Awards for her work in Kim's Convenience and Canada's Drag Race.
