Biography
Anders Danielsen Lie is a Norwegian actor, musician and physician. He made his film debut at the age of 11 in the title role of Herman (1990). He trained in medicine at the University of Oslo, qualifying in 2007, and has continued to practise as a doctor alongside his acting career.
Danielsen Lie is best known for his collaborations with director Joachim Trier. He played leading roles in Reprise (2006), Oslo, August 31st (2011) and The Worst Person in the World (2021), the last of which formed part of Trier's Oslo trilogy. Oslo, August 31st was selected for Un Certain Regard at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. Other credits include Personal Shopper (2016), 22 July (2018) and Sentimental Value (2025), in which he plays Jakob. He is the son of actress Tone Danielsen.
