Biography
Renate Reinsve is a Norwegian actress. She was born on 24 November 1987 in Solbergelva, Drammen. She trained at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and began her career in theatre, appearing at Trøndelag Teater in Trondheim before joining Det Norske Teatret in Oslo in 2016.
Reinsve made her feature film debut in Oslo, August 31st (2011). She gained international recognition for her leading role as Julie in Joachim Trier’s The Worst Person in the World (2021), for which she won the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival. She reunited with Trier for Sentimental Value (2025), playing Nora Borg. Her other film credits include A Different Man (2024), Armand (2024) and Backrooms (2026), in which she plays Mary. She has also appeared in the series Presumed Innocent (2024).
