Biography
Angus Strathie is an Australian costume designer. He graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1988 and has worked with the Canberra Theatre Company and the Australian Opera.
A longtime colleague of Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin, Strathie designed costumes for Strictly Ballroom (1992). He later designed for a television production of La Bohème and for Moulin Rouge! (2001), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Costume Design. His other credits include Deadpool (2016), The Age of Adaline (2015), Catwoman (2004) and the series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018–2020). He received a Tony Award nomination for La Bohème.
